Creating a Brighter Future

An estimated 23 million children aged 5-16 are out of school in Pakistan, making it the worlds second highest number with out of school children.  The government (or public and free) schooling institutions of Pakistan make up an estimated 62% of all institutions on offer to families of Pakistan.  The appalling state of these schooling options is failing it’s children with setups of 1 room with 1 untrained teacher to 100 students, no roof or running water, and no basic teaching materials such as blackboard, pencils and books.  Without the right skills and infrastructure in place, there is no benefit for the children of Pakistan to partake in education.

A sentiment felt by most Pakistani families facing Government schooling options.

THE CHILDREN THEREFOR MISSING THE OPPORTUNITY OF EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS WHICH COULD BREAK THE CYCLE AND CREATE A MORE PROMISING FUTURE.

Phase 1

We will transform existing schooling environments; providing adequately trained staff as well as building and supplying all infrastructure needs and facilities required for a conducive learning environment. Simultaneously we will work with the community to support and encourage them into embracing the opportunity of schooling for their children. Our Government schools chosen are based in Sialkot. The 2 schools chosen were selected due to their positioning; they are able to impact a wide community of people, meaning more children can benefit from the education and create a more promising future.

Phase 2

We will build a BRAUS Foundation school. We have acquired 30000 sq ft of land in a the village of Bhaloor, an area which feeds into 7 local communities whom currently have no access to a school. This project will take time but we are committed to long term solutions and breaking the cycle. Education sparks opportunity.
